Extract and link from an article in the Age on running barefoot, and how expensive shoes might give you foot injuries.
http://www.theage.com.au/executive-style/fitness/running-bare-noshoes-movement-gains-a-toehold-20090930-gctm.html
"Engwall is part of a mini-movement of barefoot runners that has taken shape over the better part of the decade and appears to be gaining ground. One driving force behind it is an underground theory that the expensive running shoes everyone is wearing actually could be contributing to jogging injuries."
What do you reckon? Anyone want to try the gift without shoes? |

Hi Mike
It is actually correct the foot isn't meant to have shoes on it unfortunately with roads and concrete we have made the ground too hard, which is why we need padding to protect us. So many kids used to take off their shoes to run fast. |

Hmmm - looks interesting. Wouldn't mind trying them, but they look like mutant crocks, and not sure how your little toe would work. Mine are rather bent.
How are things in sunny Sunshine? |
